my mama was diagnosed with breast cancer last friday. ugh. that’s the first time i typed that. all the signs point in the positive because of an early detection. still, it’s all fuckin scary and overwhelming.

this is the email i sent to my cousins who all helped to pay for a plane ticket back home to michigan. the short note took me about a 1/2 hour to write and doesn’t do a very good job expressing how thankful i am and how life changing their generosity has been.

cus ya know, i’m here. and i’m with my family. and that’s all that seems to matter right about now.
