i wish the rest of my day went like this:

• take a long nap in my bed with my cat sleeping close by
• drive to El Matador beach with the windows rolled down while listening to last week’s This American Life
• lay out for an hour or two, procuring a nice tan
• drive another 20 minutes up the coast to Neptune’s Net and eat crab legs and calamari on the patio
• drive home, missing rush-hour traffic, and meet friends at Casita del Campo for happy hour
• go home and watch a movie while I paint my nails

What would you do?

right now i’m in that “OMG i don’t give a shit everyday in LA is MAGICAL!” phase. but i’m sure in a few months/years i’ll have the perfect la day as well. it will most def include a missing traffic and a nap, too.
