uncharted territory
after watching three or so hours of incredibly entertaining tv (chris rock on larry king, breaking news that the bailout is falling apart, keith olbermann reflecting on filling in for mccain on letterman, and jon stewart being amazing as always) the conclusion i’ve drawn from it all is nobody knows what the fuck is going on.theblackcat:missbrightside:pterodactyls:cajunboy:
Not sure how this got leaked to YouTube almost three hours before the broadcast, but here’s Letterman ripping into McCain for canceling an appearance on his show tonight. The best part comes at about the seven minute mark when Dave gets wind of the fact that McCain is actually down the street being interviewed by Katie Couric and they cut in live as McCain is having his makeup done.(via spiegelman)
GPOYW: old timey edition.
made for me by baby sister klou.
Obama responding to McCain’s cutting and running.
Also, he’s not backing out of the debate.

Even more embarrassing than admitting you like Leona Lewis is admitting that you think the new Vampire Weekend song is really, really good. Did anybody notice the line from “Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa” they snuck in here? “But this feels so unnatural/Peter Gabriel, too.” Interesting to see them stick to that line, as if it were some kind of strange, threading mantra. Even more interesting is that Hot Chip and Peter Gabriel will be covering “Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa” sometime soon. Together. Its not half bad.
baby sister- i don’t know what you’ve been listenin to these days, but i think you might like this song. and OH YEAH, i see you tomorrow!!
I just filled out an application for a birthright trip to Israel in December. Holy crap.

i volunteered at a call center last night. as we were discussing the current polls one of the sweet old ladies said, “watching the polls will give anyone high blood pressure.”
